The second day of a packed championship weekend brought another full afternoon of racing, with several major titles still to be decided following Saturday evening’s action.

The Saloon Stock Car Irish Masters headed Sunday’s programme after three qualifying heats the previous evening, while the ORCi Stock Rods contested the Irish Open, the ORCi Ministox raced for the Ulster Championship, and the Junior Rods had their 1KE Series Final.

Junior F2 returned for day two of its historic UK trial, while the Micro F2 and B2B Micro Bangers completed a busy Sunday programme.

JUNIOR F2

After winning both heats on Saturday, Leyton Hughes (929) picked up exactly where he had left off.

The multiple Junior Productions champion took the opening heat ahead of Coalan Fegan (718) and Josh Torrens (733). Saturday Final winner Ben McLellan (41) finished fourth, with Christian Murray (926) fifth.

Hughes made it four heat victories from four across the weekend when he won Heat Two. Riley Dawson-Stilring (74) moved into second ahead of Fegan, Torrens and Murray.

Having missed out on Saturday’s Final, Hughes made sure there would be no repeat on Sunday.

He completed a clean sweep of Sunday’s Junior F2 programme, winning the Final ahead of Dawson-Stilring and Fegan. Torrens was fourth, Tommy Torrens (243) fifth and Murray sixth.

It completed an outstanding UK debut weekend for Hughes. Across the two days he won five of the six Junior F2 races, with only Saturday’s Final escaping him.

For a formula appearing in the UK for the first time on a trial basis, the weekend provided an encouraging introduction to the concept of junior drivers competing in full-specification F2 Stock Cars under non-contact rules.

SALOON STOCK CARS – IRISH MASTERS

After three qualifying heats on Saturday had determined the starting order, Sunday brought the race the Saloon Stock Car drivers had been working towards – the Irish Masters.

National Champion Matthew Stirling (747) had been the model of consistency during qualifying, recording a victory and two third places on Saturday.

When the big race arrived, he delivered again.

Stirling won the 2026 Irish Masters, adding another major honour to his impressive season.

Anthony McIvor (711) produced an excellent drive to finish runner-up, while Sean McFerran (477) claimed third. Jonathan Brown (688) was fourth with Robert Mawhinney (951) fifth.

Stuart McCammon (29) finished sixth ahead of Jonny Patterson (127), Ryan Wright (153), Kieran McIvor (811) and Glenn Watt (493).

The traditional Revenge race gave those behind Stirling another opportunity, but the result at the front remained unchanged. Stirling made it two wins from two on Sunday, once again beating Anthony McIvor into second.

Adam White (941) took third, with English visitor Levi List (151) fourth and Marcus Watt (180) fifth.

The Allcomers finally brought Stirling’s winning run to an end, with Ryan Patton (170) taking the final Saloon victory of the weekend. Marcus Watt followed him home in second, with White third, List fourth and Anthony McIvor fifth.

It was Stirling, though, who left with the biggest prize. After performing strongly throughout Saturday’s qualifying and then winning both the Irish Masters and Revenge, the National Champion had produced when it mattered most.

ORCi STOCK RODS – IRISH OPEN

Less than 24 hours after the drama of the World Championship under the floodlights, the ORCi Stock Rods were back on track with another major title waiting at the end of Sunday’s programme – the Irish Open.

John McClurkin (500) was immediately on form, taking the opening heat ahead of Alan Mooney (4) and Joe Tomlinson (77). English visitor Simon Vincent (151) was fourth with Kyle Houston (148) fifth.

McClurkin repeated the result in Heat Two to complete a perfect pair of heat victories. Mooney was again runner-up, with Jordan McClurkin (120) third, visiting driver Jason Morrison (23) fourth and Tomlinson fifth.

The Irish Open brought a completely different name to the front.

Callum Faulconbridge (914) produced his best result when the major prize was on the line, taking victory to become the 2026 ORCi Stock Rod Irish Open Champion.

Newly crowned World Champion Jamie Dawson (165) underlined the quality of his weekend by finishing runner-up just a day after his World title success. Cole McFall (911) completed the podium in third.

Cameron Doak (216) was fourth ahead of Morrison, while former World Champion Samuel Montgomery (16) took sixth. Callum Hosie (944), Ross Graham (671), reigning Irish Champion Jack Kennedy (314) and Lee Smart (900) completed the top ten.

For Dawson, a World Championship victory and Irish Open runner-up spot made it a weekend to remember, while Faulconbridge ensured Sunday’s biggest Stock Rod prize belonged to him.

JUNIOR RODS – 1KE SERIES FINAL

The Junior Rods began their Sunday with an important race of their own as the 1KE Series Final took centre stage.

Reigning Irish Champion Codi Wilson (975) was the driver who delivered.

Wilson took the 1KE Series Final victory ahead of Christian Murray (926), with Nathan Cregan (946) third. Jamie Scott (26) finished fourth and Cory Holmes (955) fifth.

And Wilson was far from finished.

He returned to win Heat One, beating Sam Preston (28) and Scott, with Cregan fourth and Holmes fifth.

Heat Two completed a perfect three wins from three for Wilson, with Holmes taking second and Scott third. Murray and Cregan completed the top five, with Riley Dawson-Stirling (74) sixth.

It was a commanding Sunday performance from Wilson, adding the 1KE Series Final to his honours before going on to remain unbeaten throughout the rest of the afternoon.

ORCi MINISTOX – ULSTER CHAMPIONSHIP

After Saturday’s National Championship, there was another major title awaiting the ORCi Ministox on Sunday – the Ulster Championship.

And one driver was looking to complete a remarkable championship double.

Fresh from being crowned National Champion the previous evening, Stuart Shevill Jnr (618) immediately demonstrated that his Saturday success had been no one-off by winning Heat One.

English visitor Delilah Farrell (770) finished second, with Charlie Weston (313) third. Lexi Crosbie (511) was fourth and Saturday’s opening-heat winner Corey Mathers (557) fifth.

Jacob Mikulla (522) took victory in Heat Two ahead of Caitlyn Mitchell (879), with Scottish visitor Lana Middler (41) third. Shevill finished fourth and Mathers fifth.

Then came the Ulster Championship.

Shevill had already secured one of the weekend’s biggest prizes on Saturday night. Twenty-four hours later, he did it again.

Stuart Shevill Jnr (618) won the 2026 ORCi Ministox Ulster Championship, completing an outstanding National and Ulster Championship double across the weekend.

Mathers finished runner-up to complete a very strong weekend of his own, while Shaun Boyle (136) took third. Mitchell was fourth and Ollie Sime (480) fifth.

Reigning Irish Champion Harry Martin (181) finished sixth, followed by Charlie Lomas (114), Caolan Fegan (718), Charlie Weston (313) and Jamie Balfour (16).

Two days, two major championship Finals and two victories made Shevill one of the undisputed stars of the entire weekend.

MICRO F2

After three races on Saturday, the Micro F2 youngsters returned for another two outings on Sunday.

Kurtis Peoples (733) took the opening victory ahead of Robbie Graham (99), with Ollie Duff (958) third. Tommy McAvoy (89) was fourth and Jenson McCrory (932) fifth.

Peoples was untouchable again in Event Two, completing a Sunday double. Shea (73) finished runner-up, with Duff taking another strong third place. McAvoy was fourth and Sid Shaw (134) fifth.

After Graham and McCrory had shared Saturday’s victories with Peoples featuring consistently near the front, Sunday belonged entirely to Peoples with two wins from two.

B2B MICRO BANGERS

The B2B Micro Bangers brought their own brand of action to Sunday’s programme.

David Owens (73) took the Heat victory ahead of Jack Bell (227), Rodney Heron (125) and Keith Copeland (35).

Bell turned the tables in the Final, taking victory ahead of Owens, with Copeland third and Heron fourth.

That gave Owens and Bell a victory apiece to round out the B2B Micro Banger programme.
