The new season got off to a flying start on Sunday afternoon with a 6 formula billing.


The ORCi Ministox made their NCR debut, the field was boosted with the welcome addition of Scottish visitors Davy Philp Jnr, Dean Heeps and Cole Ford. Philp showed his experience when he romped to a fine brace of victories, completing the afternoon undefeated. Leyton Hughes was the best of the local contingent, scoring runner up finishes in both the second heat and final.


William Donnell dominated proceedings in the Back 2 Basic Bangers, chalking up wins in all three races. Local man Matthew McKinstry lasted the distance to take glory in the destruction derby which was the final event of the day.


The yellow graders proved to be unbeatable in the Saloon Stock Cars with Steven Bolton and Robert Mawhinney sharing the heat wins before Mawhinney went on to take the meeting final. Next across the line was Glen Watt and Ryan Wright.


Codi Wilson continued to show promise in the Junior Rod ranks, continuing his fine run of form from late 2023 with a heat win on Sunday afternoon. Noah Teggart was another who featured well with a fine heat two victory. Young lady racer Jaydon Brunton crushed the opposition in the meeting final, securing victory ahead of Oisin Arbuckle and Teggart.


Ricky People was the man to beat in the Gp2 Lightning Rods taking a fine heat and final double. Former ORC Lightning Rod World Champion returned to his racing roots and was soon visiting victory lane with a well calculated heat two win. Shaw was again on the pace in the final scoring a runner finish.

Also on the race card was the popular Micro F2 Stock Cars. Robbie Graham was winner of both the heats before Kurtis Peoples turned up the pace to take a runway triumph in the final.
