There was a Bank Holiday weekend bonanza at the Raceway with 6 formula’s on display as well as a Caravan Destruction Derby.
Gavin Fegan and Daniel Stewart shared the Brisca F2 heat wins with Shea Fegan the runner up on both occasions. Stewart pulled of a steady performance to take the final win ahead of G Fegan who was edging closer in the concluding laps.
Geoff Martin is continuing to make full advantage his yellow grade starting slot in the Saloon Stock Cars taking wins in the opening heat and Final. Scottish lad Dean Heeps a recent Ministox graduate recorded a pleasing runner up finish in heat 1 before holding off a late charge from Ryan Wright to win heat 2. Crossing the line behind Martin in the final was Heeps and Matthew Stirling.
Jack Kennedy had little competition in the ORCi Stock Rods, taking an unbeaten streak of wins. Joining Kennedy on the final podium was Cole McFall and Shane McKinney.
There was again a decent turnout of Group 2 Lightning Rods. Alan Milliken and Ricky Peoples scored heat wins apiece. Peoples held the sway early doors in the final but Esler soon overcome him. From there Esler went on to take the win, Peoples was runner up with David Nesbitt third.
Fresh from a double victory last time out Charlie Hill took the Junior Rod scene by storm winning all 3 races. Hill comes under some pressure late in the final from Codi Wilson but it wasn’t enough to unnerve him. Wilson was the runner up with Ryan Abernethy Jnr third.
In the Micro F2’s Kyle Anderson secured a heat win while star name Robbie Graham continued his dominance with a heat and final double.
The Caravan DD concluded proceedings with Matthew Mckinstry and Ben Archer sharing then win after a bruising head on finish.
