Flags & Signals

A number of different coloured flags and signals are used to get messages to the drivers during the race. At Nutts Corner Raceway, drivers may see any of the following, and it's important they know what each means and what action to take should they see any of the flags

Green Flag
Green: All clear to race - GO!
Yellow Flag
Yellow (stationary): Take care as driver still in stationary car - continue to race

Yellow (waved): Race Suspension. All cars must remain in single file and slow to 15mph, or in exceptional circumstances stop.
No Overtaking is permitted
Chequered Flag
Chequered Flag: Race Winner
White Flag, Blue Stripes
White with Blue Stripes: Give up your position - you have failed to give other drivers a racing line and a fair chance to overtake. Shown when overtaking driver is making continued efforts to pass and is being badly baulked i.e. Blue Flag being ignored
Black Cross
Black Cross: Driver under surveillance for a rules infringement, may be penalised after race conclusion
Red Flag
Red: Stop Racing
Blue Flag
Blue: Driver must hold their line as faster cars are trying to overtake
Black Flag
Black: Driver disqualified for an infringement - driver must leave the track immediately

White Flag, Blue Centre
White with Blue Centre: Drivers should exercise caution as oil or other debris may be on the track
